JUNE JUNK

Is there anything new to say about using flea market finds in new and unusual ways? Probably not, but when I was driving to the bank this morning I came across a pile of old stair and railing posts on the side of the road awaiting the trash man.
Needless to say, those wooden sticks didn’t stay there. I whisked away my found treasure in the trunk of my car.

Ever since I came across a photo in Room Recipes by Cheryl and Jeffrey Katz (published by Rockport Publishers) of a Provincetown beach cottage where the owner has constructed a headboard using balusters and table legs, I’d been dreaming of doing the same in the guest room of my house. Now, I can!
