THE MAINE ATTRACTION
Okay, I've had enough of goofing off. Here is one of the homes from The Book that I haven't shown you yet.
Maine artist Missy Asen's eye for color extends from her paintings done in acrylic paints and watercolors to her home as well.
After spending several summers in a nearby cottage, the Asens purchased a piece of land overlooking a secluded cove on Little Diamond Island.
Like many island dwellings, their cottage has hardwood floors, traditional beadboard walls and a sense of family history.
As you can see from the cozy corner shown here, flamingo pink adds a sunny aspect to the beadboard walls.
In the dining room, doors open to a spectacular view on one side and to a comfy porch on the other. The room is simply furnished with a table crafted of reclaimed wood and junk store chairs made festive with paint that coordinates with the peppers in Missy’s painting above the hutch.

The Blissful Home is another one of my wonderful inspirations for all things French, sentimental and stylish. Despite the fact that Abbey lives in Canton, Ohio she is tres French in outlook and taste. Take a trip to www.theblissfulhome.blogspot.com today.
