KAMIKAZE CARMEL PHOTO SHOOT

I won't be posting for the next few days.

Tomorrow, I catch a 6 AM plane to NYC, sprint across the airport and change to the same flight as Dan.

We arrive in San Francisco around noon, pick up a rental car and drive to Susan's cottage on the edge of Carmel meadow overlooking the water.

After unpacking the equipment, we will shoot until sun down, then it's a quick dinner and off to bed in Monterey motel.

On Thursday, we start shooting at 9 AM. That's the best thing about the three hours time difference... it will feel like noon to us!

At the end of the shoot we drive back to San Francisco and catch the red eye. I switch planes, yet again in NYC, and get back home around noon.

Anyone want my job for the next 48 hours?

I can't wait for your book. You are living two parts of my life, our family owns a large book publishing company on the west coast AND we have a beach house overlooking the ocean near Cannon Beach Oregon, currently being remodeled! So, I feel right at home reading about your adventures in publishing a book about beach cottages!

Enjoy the adventure, even though I know it is exhausting!

Hope the shoot goes well.I have not done what you are doing but I have done itinerant trips on many occasions in the States whee feet don't touch the ground.
Hope your dear Mum gets blogging soon. She will have lots o offer from her age and wisdom.

Oh, I'd love to take a walk in your sues for 48 hours. I just don't know how the people used to working you would feel about that.

I love this blog and all your ideas. I love that we can watch the progress on The Book, and how fun to see you and Ev on vacation. What I'm missing is the red sink. I think it should get its own expose... maybe?

I would LOVE to have your job for the next 48 hours. I would just like to tag along. I haven't flown since 9-11 and just the thoughts of it freaks me out a little.

You drove right through my area on your way from the SF airport to Carmel. Carmel is such a beautiful place, too bad you don't have more time to enjoy it. I may be driving down there this weekend just for the day.

I would love to give it a try! I know, to us it all sounds exciting and glamorous! But oh how I love Carmel and Monterey and San Fransisco. A glorious place on Earth...and NYC is my favorite place to be.

But I know the pace is brutal isn't it? Take care of yourself.

Have a safe trip Barbara.
