This week the watery things most on my mind are my eyes and nose! Like many fellow bloggers, I've caught my first cold of the season... and it's a doozy! I'm coughing so much that I can barely type, so this week's entry will be a short one.
Please enjoy the view from Cadillac Mountain on Mount Desert Island, Maine.
And in case you're blissed out by last week's beautiful bedrooms, I've done the math for you (if you mentioned two numbers I counted them both.)
Number 3: The Kinghams' master bedroom--whites with a killer view --won by a landslide.
Number 4: Tulle and tropical pastels came in second.
Bedrooms 1, 2 and 5 were tied for third place.
I thought you'd enjoy seeing a few more photos from the Kingham's home. Here's one of the light-filled living room.Below is their Caribbean themed guest room.
Last but not least, a hallway sitting area feature's shells and retro motifs.
All photos by Dan Mayers.

This living room as to be the most beautiful ever! I love the touch of glamour thrown in (pillows) for good measure!

Such a pretty living room. Chambray slipcovers are exactly what I wanted... sigh.

oh yes... don't forget the hot tea with lemon & honey
Oh how I miss the ocean..

Colorado becomes even more spectacular in the Fall and Winter seasons!
Your site takes me back home with warm and cozy settings... waterside!

Wow - First time here, so glad I found you! I did a waterside post so I thought I'd join your party - thanks for having me.

hey Barbara. I managed to sneak in a late post! I couldn't miss it. xo
The photos of the Kingham home are gorgeous! Many of their ideas will translate well into my home. I am still struggling with my dining room...wall color being the biggest challenge.
I'm so sorry you are not feeling well. I hope this cold is short lived. Please take good care of yourself and get well soon.(Check out Thyme Cream to help with the congestion...it works.)
Hugs,
Jane
These are all beautiful..that bedroom that won first...omgosh...so breathtaking.
Now...if your header is YOUR living room, I could die a happy woman if it were MINE! I almost covet it...better be sure to get to church Sunday..:O)
I am signing up to follow...

Not mine, alas. Dan photographed it for our book Waterside cottages. Apologies to all my Waterside Wednesday participants. I've been so feverish and tired today that I didn't have the energy to visit and see what you've been up to-- but I promise to stop by first thing in the morning.
HI Barbara
I hope you feel better soon! We have just finished winter and I cannot count the times I had flu this year. Thanks for posting more of this beautiful home. I enjoyed it last time and more of it is even better!!
I am late with my Wednesday post. Sydney was hit by a dust storm and well.. tired and coughing here for non-flu reasons.
Take care and rest!! Rest is good!! x Julie
Hi Barbara,
Hope today is a better day...
I forgot to mention the Cadillac Mountain photo...beautiful. Many years ago, I watched the sunrise from here with my dad. We were the only ones who were willing to get up to witness this spectacular site...the first in the US to see the sunrise (At least that's what Daddy told me!). Thanks for bringing back this wonderful memory.
Jane (Artfully Graced)
It's true. You WERE the first!
I was on Mount Desert Island for only one day in my life but I've always wanted to return.
All those gorgeous rooms make me want to change everything I've got going on here! Help!
So: i live in a treed area near the beach w/ many wood homes painted late 80s 'natural'. We are painting our house for the first time in 10 years. I want to do something a bit edgier...say an outdoor green, but something modern, not "expected". Our roof and gutters are brown. Sure, there are a 1,000 variations of green. I'm just babbling here! I need help though!
I love this beautiful brightful decoration !!!thanks for sharing these pics
Dear Barbara, soo many beautiful decor ideas. love it. have a sweet weekend,
Rosa
Oh, such beautiful rooms, filled with light! And that sunrise view -- gorgeous! Hope you are feeling better soon. :)
ack...so sorry you have a cold. How miserable. Are you getting enough Chicken Soup?? the Kinghams' home is so very beautiful, I think if I lived there I would never leave. Happy weekend! Since you have a cold, maybe you should drink the margaritas instead of the pie.xo
