BIG NEWS
I have handed in the text for the majority of the book to my editor at Gibbs Smith.
Today, I'm a free woman!
I've cut the chains binding me to my computer and plan to catch up on four days worth of newspapers, take a long hot bath and take my mother to lunch.
I’d add play in the garden to the list but after a month of drought, it rained all night. Perhaps, tomorrow… before I get back to work on Chapters 13 and 14.
But before I run off, I have a confession to make. I’ve just realized that I forgot to share photos from Missy and Michaels island refuge. It was one of the first homes I finished writing.
I also owe you a peek at the homes on Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana, Fairhaven Harbor on Buzzard Bay, Cape Cod and Sunset Lagoon in Marin County, California. All will be posted in the next week or so.
I was so busy putting finishing touches on the last few chapters and proofing text last week that I forgot to mention Elvis! Great party Betty!

Soo exciting, I have been following your progress in your blog and I can't wait to see this book. I only wish I lived in a cute cottage house instead of an awkward 3 story mansard roof french wannabe chateau in Hampton, VA! But in my retirement, that country cottage waits for me!! xxoo, suzy
Oh congratulations! This is so great and I can not wait until I can have my very own copy of the book! I am so excited so I can't imagine how YOU feel! *smile* Get some relaxation in!
